Notes on a matter

There are three places you can add notes on a matter:

These notes are saved to your correspondence list and are a great way of providing internal updates on a matter.

  • The Sticky Note

These notes sit right at the very top of a matter and are a great way of pinning important information so it’s easily accessible to your team.

  • Task Notes

These notes sit within the workflow of a matter and are available to any stakeholders that the task is visible to within their portal.

  1. Within a matter, select the Folder tab
  2. Select Note or Phone Call in the top toolbar
  1. Enter the content of the note
  1. Save

Locate any notes saved to a matter by using:

  • The search bar at the top of the Folder
  • The f ilters on the lefthand side of the Folder
    • Filter by Type to only display notes & phone calls saved to a matter
    • Use the Labels filter to only see items with a particular label applied

Pinning allows you to fix an item to the top of the Folder tab so it’s always easily accessible.

Select the pin icon next to the note to add it to your pinned items.

  1. Within the Folder tab, select the ’…’ icon next to the note
  2. Select Move to trash
  1. Select the sticky note icon in the top right hand corner of the matter
  2. Enter the content of the note
  3. Save
  1. Within a matter, select + Note under the relevant task on the workflow
  2. Enter the content of the note
  3. Save
